Mookaite sounds like a strange name for a Jasper, and it sure is one intriguing mineral due to the mix of pale or bold colors from purple, white, orange, reds yellows and everything in between.

Although Mookaite looks funky and unique and has a funky cool name it was actually named due to the location its sourced from in Western Australia, around the area of a creek called; Mooka Creek.
