Orbicular Ocean Jasper Hand Carved Cherry

Orbicular Jasper or Cellular Jasper, is a very rare variety of Jasper. This unusual mineral has only one known locality at the base of a cliff in Madagascar which is only accessible by boat during low tide; making it extremely difficult and dangerous to access. Mining operations of Ocean Jasper were stopped in 2006 due to depletion of mines at this locatio and heightened safety risks. All Ocean Jasper on the market today is either a back stock or has been hoarded by collectors and sellers for years.
